branding

web design + development

• branding • web design + development

For Dr. Eri Amasawa of Waseda University, the mandate was clear: avoid the sterility of a typical research lab and the hypocrisy of "greenwashing." The new brand needed to be a beacon of integrity for her work in life cycle assessment and sustainable systems design, serving both Japanese and international audiences.

In collaboration with co-designer Estefania Rivera, we developed a brand strategy that translates complex research into a compelling narrative of possibility. The visual identity uses organic shapes and a confident color palette to symbolize the lab's methodical yet hopeful approach.

To complete the launch, we designed and built a comprehensive bilingual website (English/Japanese) to establish the lab's digital presence. This platform clearly communicates its mission, research, and team, making it accessible to a worldwide audience of academics, students, and policymakers.

The result is a cohesive brand that establishes Dr. Amasawa as a credible and necessary voice in the global sustainability conversation, bridging cultures and disciplines with clarity and purpose.
